Mini-Workshops for SAIPA Trainees

Rorisa Training is pleased to offer the following mini-workshops for SAIPA Trainees to help you complete your logbook successfully. These are offered on set dates as shown on our 2013 Training Dates page. However, we can also provide ATCs (who have six or more SAIPA Trainees) with in-house training on a mutually agreeable date. Depending on your specific requirements, this training could also be longer than just  a half-day mini-workshop. If you would like a quotation, please complete the Request for Quotation Form below.  

CONTENT & FORMAT
These mini-workshops are typically held on Saturday mornings (4.5 hours) and cover the other three logbook areas. With each mini-workshop, you will have the option of completing a post-training assessment which includes a report for your ATC.

1. Commercial Law. Topics under this logbook area include:
  • Trusts – Formation, Rights & Duties and Accounting & Taxation. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed four Commercial Law electives, one Financial Accounting elective and three Taxation electives.
  • Legislation - National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act, Protection of Personal Information Act, FAIS Act, FICA Act and Suretyship. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed six Commercial Law logbook electives.
  • Non-Profit Organisations – Formation, Rights & Duties and Accounting & Tax. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed  four Commercial Law electives and one Taxation elective.  
2. Financial Accounting. Topics under this logbook area include:  
  • Purchases & Creditors Administration, Sales & Debtors Administration and Inventory Control. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed the 16 core, required areas under Financial Accounting.
3. Taxation. Topics under this logbook area include: 
  • VAT Simplified. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed up to 10 of the core, required areas under Taxation.
  • SARS Registrations & De-Registrations - SARS registrations and de-registrations for different taxes, entity types and e-filing, as well as all you need to know about tax clearance certificates. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed up to six of the core, required areas and four, optional electives under Taxation.
  • Payroll & Employees Tax. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed up to nine of the core, required areas under Taxation.
  • Income Tax Calculations. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed up to four core, required areas and two, optional electives under Taxation.
  • Income Tax Calculations & Provisional Tax. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed up to seven core, required areas and two, optional electives under Taxation. 
  • Capital Gains, Donations & Dividend Tax. After completing this mini-workshop and the post-course assignment project you will have completed up to nine core, required areas under Taxation. 
The optional assessments for these mini-workshops are aligned to the SAIPA Logbook as per the above. 

FEES
Fees for the mini-workshops and assessments for Corporate Law, Financial Accounting and Taxation are:
  • R570.00 (incl. VAT) per registrant per mini-workshop.
  • R228.00 (incl. VAT) per registrant per assessment on any single mini-workshop.
