John Borthwick, Professional Accountant (SA)
John Borthwick is a practising member of SAIPA and does consulting work for Rorisa Training as our Senior Associate - Course Development. He has a Master of Commerce (University of Witswatersrand) and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (London Metropolitan University).
John is employed with Volvo South Africa as Manager - Internal Audit & Quality. He is an ETDP SETA, SAIPA and ICB registered assessor and moderator. He also lectures to second year part-time CIS students at Wits University in financial accounting and cost & management accounting. He was in the past a CIS national examiner for both Financial Accounting II and Cost & Management Accounting.
With John Blignaut he has co-authored and designed learner, facilitator and assessor guides for several ICB & FASSET registered learnerships. John has also authored study guides for two of Wits University’s part-time CIS courses and for Rorisa Training.
His facilitation and training experience encompasses a variety of financial accounting, management accounting, internal control, financial management and taxation courses. John has acted as an assessor and moderator for several professional institutes, business schools and FET colleges.
John’s many strengths are in the area of management and business consulting where he has covered areas such as:
