Finance for Non-financial Managers Program
Overview
Understanding and applying finance is a vital part of a manager’s job and a skill that is often lacking. Rorisa Training’s Finance for Non-financial Managers program is designed to provide managers with this valuable skill.
This ‘hands-on’ program is designed around a practical management simulation during which delegates manage and administer the business cycle from planning and budgeting through to production, sales and financial reporting. Practical case studies are also used throughout.
Delegates will be able to immediately apply the new skills and techniques they acquire in the workplace.
Delegates & Accreditation
This skills program is aimed at non-financial staff who are either currently at a management level or working toward that expectation. Still, no previous financial knowledge or skills are required. And we also offer a variation of this program at a supervisory level.
The full program is fully accredited by FASSET and learners will receive a minimum of 28 NQF credits at Level 5 and up to a maximum of 74 NQF credits at Level 5.
Duration & Assessment
The program involves:
a) 3, 4 or 5 days of training for up to 28 credits,
b) additional theory days if more credits are required,
c) a compulsory post-course individual assignment, and
d) post-course completion of Portfolio of Evidence and demonstrating competency in the selected FASSET/SAQA unit standards (optional).
Ideally the basic program is run over three to five consecutive days. However, we can vary this to accommodate specific client needs.
Delegates are awarded a FASSET approved Rorisa Training Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the post-course individual assignment. In the case where the delegate also completes the Portfolio of Evidence, s/he will be awarded a FASSET Certificate of Competence.
