Ancillary Professional & Personal Skills

Delegates & Accreditation
Rorisa Training’s Ancillary Professional & Personal Skills course is aimed at managers and staff who need to acquire and apply essential professional and personal skills in an accounting environment. 

This FASSET accredited course will be facilitated in-house for clients. Refer to the bullets below for the links to the SAQA Unit Standards. The six unit standards carry a total of 45 credits at NQF Level 5. Clients may opt for any combination of modules selected from these six unit standards; provided that a minimum value of 27 credits is chosen to successfully complete the course.
  • SAQA ID No. 8647 - Apply workplace communication skills - Level 5 - 10 Credits
  • SAQA ID No. 8648 - Demonstrate an understanding of professional values and ethics - Level 5 - 4 Credits
  • SAQA ID No. 8662 - Analyse and communicate workplace data - Level 5 - 5 Credits
  • SAQA ID No. 12992 - Achieve personal effectiveness in an accounting environment - Level 5 - 8 Credits
  • SAQA ID No. 12983 - Interpret statutes and provide basic information on SA legislation as it relates to the accounting function - Level 5 - 10 Credits
  • SAQA ID No. 12981 - Administer and wind-up the estates of deceased persons - Level 5 - 8 Credits

Duration & Assessment
The program involves:
a) 45 - 80 contact/tuition hours,
b) practical assignments & self-study,  
c) formative assessments including a post-course assignment,  
d) workplace related projects (optional), and
e) post-course completion of a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE).

The number of facilitation hours will depend on delegate training needs and their existing education, experience and competencies. This will be discussed with potential clients in detail in order to design a suitable training schedule.

Delegates are awarded a FASSET approved Rorisa Training Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of a post-course individual assignment. In the case where the delegate also completes the PoE, s/he will be awarded a FASSET Certificate of Competence.
